OVERALL THOUGHTS: Can someone please get me some of Cam’s cookies? And a fan, yup, I need a fan to cool off after indulging in this book. I mean, the guy bakes and cooks just to get a girl. I don’t mean get in the girls pants either; he really wanted to get her to trust him and date him. This boy made me swoon.
J. Lynn (pseudo name for Jennifer Armentrout) is an incredible author who writes amazing stories. They pull you in right from the start and don’t always follow the “expected” path. Wait for You is full of lovable characters, quirky dialogue, and great writing. You will not be disappointed in this one. Definite need-to-read!

All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe – please God – make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself. Some things are worth experiencing…Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple…Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring their simmering tension becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed. Some things should never be kept quiet…But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls-forcing her to face a past she wants silenced-she has no other choice but to acknowledge that she will not be allowed to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, can she resurface this time with one less scar? And will Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her? And some things are worth fighting for…[/note]
THE LOWDOWN: Wait for You will give you the connection that every reader craves to have with the characters in a good book. You will care about what is going to happen next, you will feel for Avery and what she has gone through in her life. You will fall in love with love again. Cam and Avery have a heart wrenching love story that will leave you wanting more.
Avery’s had a rough life prior to moving away and starting on her own. She was very quiet and didn’t plan to make a lot of friends, a few key people in her life was all she wanted. Jacob and Brit became, Avery’s best friends, and they were great supporting characters. Bringing out a side of Avery that makes you love her a little more than the sort of depressed, scared side of her would have without them. Smart move by the author on that one, I want to love my main characters.
The love story between Avery and Cam is pretty perfect. They have a push/pull relationship to start. Avery doesn’t believe he has good intentions and is way too scared to get involved. Cam isn’t ready to let her pass him by. He is interested, but he doesn’t push too far. They spend time together as friends, getting to know each other, and slowly building the trust that Avery struggles with. The development of this love story was really well written. It had me interested the entire time. The buildup, the tension, the wait, and finally letting love happen! The way it should be.
Let me explain a little about Cam’s cookies. I want some. Cam is nothing short of the sweetest, sexiest, playfully adorable boy I have read about in a long time. He is gorgeous, which doesn’t hurt, but he was also so thoughtful. He was willing to wait and to prove to Avery that they were right for each other. That he would love her like she deserved to be loved. It was pretty darn beautiful. I mean come on; the boy cooked her eggs every Sunday and baked cookies for her. Cam’s cookies are a big part of this story – take that as code for whatever you want. *wink wink*
I’m not kidding when I tell you that this is a need-to-read. You need to feel with Avery and you need to fall in love with Cam. I can’t say enough about how much J. Lynn will pull you in with this story. The hilarious moments between Cam and Avery are adorable and the intimate moments will have you squealing with joy! I’m serious, you will be. Watching Cam and Avery take their time to fall in love is all part of the fun.
