GOODBYE CAUTION (The Lost & Found)

OVERALL THOUGHTS: I absolutely loved this book, but this is definitely a love it or hate it kind of story. For me, it was love at first sight and the relationship moved faster than most I was used to. When love is this fresh and intense, it tends to cause extreme reactions to the simplest of actions. Then just imagine what happens when these actions are not all that simple. I was a little turned off by the love triangle that developed, especially when the relationship between the main characters was so passionate. However, I believe the triangle will be important to future books in this series.
SYNOPSIS: Becca Campbell is a mother, friend, and widow to a war hero (may he rot in hell). She just wants to raise her daughter right and keep her bed-and-breakfast afloat in this economy. Her traumatic past leaves her with no desire for a relationship—until Grayson James walks through her door. He’s not the type of man you can easily say “no” to. Becca can’t quite understand the pull she feels toward him. But then his controlling nature starts to push her away—and into Ray McNeil’s comforting arms. Which is right where Ray has always wanted her.
Who will Becca choose?
Will she finally give in to her feelings for Ray, or continue the tumultuous relationship with Grayson? Only one thing is certain—either choice will mean saying goodbye to caution.
THE LOWDOWN: Goodbye Caution is a quick paced, funny, sad, tumultuous, love it or hate kind of book. The heroine Becca Campbell has spent the last seven years trying to overcome the abuse that her dead husband committed. She has pushed away all the men in her small New England town until a very sexy British hero arrives. Grayson James is the epitome of the alpha male with serious anger management issues. It is love at first sight, but strong emotions lead to jealousy, betrayal, and as a result a love triangle. Ray McNeil has been Becca’s rock and best friend for the last five years and has been in love with her through all of them. Grayson’s anger and stupidity leads Becca straight into Ray’s arms. The fight is fierce but there is only one true winner. Oh, and be warned, there is also a small cliffhanger.
FINAL THOUGHTS: If you enjoy an action packed love story with lots of twists and turns, but with serious emotions running rampant, this is the book for you! If you can’t stand love that moves at the speed of a runaway train, characters that can be completely ridiculous at times, so much so you want to yell and smack them, or the emotional roller coaster that will ensue from reading about the abuse the heroine endured than this book is not for you. What impressed me the most was that 10% of all proceeds went to support women that have been in an abusive situation.
