Valerie Ann Winne, debut author and Gliterary Girl friend will be putting her long awaited novel Plight of the Honeybee on pre-sale in the coming months. And today we are revealing the gorgeous cover created by VMG Literary.
But first, here’s a little about Valerie.
Hello Gliterary Girl! I am a native of Southern California, spending my childhood and most of my adult life living in the same area. I grew up in a family that stressed the value of education. My sister and I went through the public school system in the 50’s and 60’s. I went on to graduate from college with a degree in Sociology and obtained Multiple Subjects and Specialist/Severely Handicapped teaching credentials. This led to a long career working with “special needs” children… close to forty years. I began as a Classroom Attendant while still in college, then teacher at the completion of my credentials. Looking back, it was a good, fulfilling career choice.
I married my “high school sweetheart.” Our son was born in 1977, and continues to be a strong focus in our lives. We stayed in Southern California until 2009, when we both retired and moved to Arizona. Our son, his wife and our two grandchildren juts moved toWyoming and we have since relocated to be close to them. We spend a lot of time together, enjoying family activities.
Some of the many interests in my life have included various travels, continued learning, reading, writing, family and fun! “Life is good!”
Plight of the Honeybee
“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.” Albert Einstein
In using the science fiction genre, Plight of the Honeybee takes a unique approach in bringing awareness to this critical issue.
Humankind is at risk of total extinction. Heather, along with her close set of family and friends, embark on a high stakes adventure and where they encounter a highly secret governmental organization, foreign terrorists and even aliens from outer space. The clock is ticking and Heather must change the fate of the world. Will it end in total annihilation of man or will Heather find a way.
Pre-Sale of Plight of the Honeybee begins the first week of February!
“This sci-fi adventure will not only shed light on an actual problem but it also takes readers with a fun and thrilling ride.” Brittany Prager (Reader)
